The Legacy Data Conversion Center provides low-cost data conversion services that extract legacy data from Interleaf, FrameMaker, and Word documents to valid, well formatted SGML or XML files.

The Legacy Data Conversion Center can convert your legacy data to any standard output format quickly and inexpensively. Our standard conversion prices include converstion to DocBook, DITA, MIL-STD-38784, and S1000D.

The Legacy Data Conversion Center supports conversion to custom document types. For a small fee, we can convert your legacy data to any proprietary or custom output format just quickly and inexpensively as if we were converting it to one of the standard output format.

We do not require that you convert your source documents to a particular template. We ask that you provide your template to us, so that we can use your template in the conversion. We want to make sure that we account for all expected styles.

We know that source documents are never perfect. Authors diverge from defined templates, catalogs, and style guides all the time. Our system allows for these kinds of divergences, and improves over time as more documents are converted. The system is designed to improve over time and decrease any errors in conversion. As the system improves, our individual staff member's efforts decrease, and your discount increases.

We do not require an expensive data modeling step. We will ask specific questions about your templates and structure and they relate to your required output format. We expect that you have completed all data modeling steps and are ready to begin mass legacy data conversion based on that analysis.

Discounts apply for large numbers of documents. The discount increases as more documents are converted. Our proofing team will identify issues that reappear and report them to the programming staff. As a result, we can gradually decrease error rates over time and improve conversion time overall. As the time required to proof output decreases, our price decreases. We pass that savings back to our customer.

We will convert a single, sample document for you for 50% off the standard conversion cost. The pricing schedule shows the cost per document. We are happy to supply this service for our customers.
